What is a "Skill-Based" game?
A skill-based game is a game where the skill of the player predominates over chance in determining the outcome of the game.
Are skill-based challenges gambling?
In general gambling involves any activity in which each of the following elements is present: (1) the award of a prize, (2) determined on the basis of chance, (3) where consideration is paid. If, however, any of these three elements is missing, then the activity is not considered gambling. Since all of the challenges we host are for games of skill and are skill-based then the element of chance is effectively removed.
Who can enter challenges for cash and prizes?

Are there states that prohibit its residents from playing cash competitions?
The rules governing games, tournaments and other contests with entry fees and/or prizes are set up by each individual state, not by the federal government. Based on these 50 sets of laws, we don't offer fee-based games and tournaments to residents of the following states: Arkansas, Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland and Tennessee.
Do I have to pay taxes on Prizes?
If you win more than $600.00 in total prize value within the same calendar year, then you will have to pay taxes on the total value of the prizes.
If you fall into this group of winners, we will contact you when you have reached the $600.00 limit.
